OLD AMERSHAM, JULY 31 1997 -- P & L Systems today announced the "Rhapsody Assist Opus 2 CD -- the Developer's Assist". This CD provides valuable assistance for users and developers in gaining an understanding of the capabilities and possibilities that OpenStep and Rhapsody will bring.
The developer release Opus 2 contains some of the best shareware development utilities, public domain objects and technical information gathered from a wide range of sources, including full FAQs and porting guidelines.
P & L Systems is dedicated to the Rhapsody platform and to assisting developers in porting their current applications to the forthcoming operating system. Matt Ware, Sales Manager of P & L Systems, commented: "We have been working with NEXTSTEP since 1991 and are currently involved in porting to OpenStep and developing OpenStep applications from scratch. We have full confidence in Apple making this a viable and better alternative to any other development environment anywhere. With OpenStep and Rhapsody you really do have a write-once-deploy-on-multiple-platforms capability."
Opus 2 is available immediately, costing $20, which includes a free upgrade to a Rhapsody version of the CD which will be mailed to purchasers shortly after Rhapsody DR1 is released.
Note: The Opus 2 CD will be launched at MacWorld Boston, and for the duration of the show will be available to MacWorld attendees only -- it will be available to other customers from August 11.
